An adrenaline-fueled journey through the heart of the Indian Himalayas, conquering the mighty Mig La.(5913 M)
This route takes us through some of the most remote and varied regions of Ladakh, combining classic Himalayan roads with lesser-travelled valleys and high-altitude plateaus.
We begin in Leh, spending time acclimatising, preparing the bikes, and settling into the rhythm of the journey before heading out. From Leh, we ride west toward Kargil and into the rugged landscapes of the Zanskar region.
The road through Rangdum and Padum moves through wide valleys, river crossings, and isolated settlements, with long riding days that we take at a steady, supportive pace. As we move beyond Zanskar toward Keylong and Sarchu, the terrain opens up, and altitude becomes a constant companion.
The route then turns toward the Changthang plateau, leading us to Hanle — one of the most remote and high-altitude inhabited regions in the country. We spend time here to rest, acclimatise, and experience the stillness of the landscape.
From Hanle, we continue toward Pangong Lake, riding through vast open spaces before reaching the lake’s shoreline. The final stretch of the journey takes us through Nubra Valley and back to Leh, completing a full circuit of Ladakh.
Throughout the ride, we move together as a group, adjusting to the terrain, altitude, and conditions, sharing the road, the challenges, and the moments that define this journey.
