BOOKING, CANCELLATION & RIDER POLICY Adventure Motorcycles India
1. Booking Policy
Deposit: To secure your place on any expedition, a deposit of USD 500 is required at the time of booking. This deposit is non-refundable but transferable to a future tour (see cancellation terms below).
Second Instalment: A further USD 500 is due 30 days before your departure date.
Final Payment: The remaining balance is due on arrival, payable by cash or bank transfer only. We do not accept debit or credit card payments on arrival.
Confirmation: Your booking is confirmed only once the initial deposit is received and you have received a written confirmation from our team.
Group Size: All tours operate with a minimum and maximum group size. If a tour does not meet the minimum rider requirement, we reserve the right to cancel it — in which case a full refund of all amounts paid will be issued.
Pricing: All prices are quoted and processed in US Dollars (USD).
2. Cancellation & Refund Policy
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to adventuremotorcyclesindia@gmail.com. Verbal cancellations are not accepted.
More than 90 days before departure: 50% refund of the total amount paid (deposits + any additional payments made).
30 to 90 days before departure: No cash refund. However, the full amount paid will be credited to your account and can be used toward any future Adventure Motorcycles India expedition — with no expiry on that credit.
Less than 30 days before departure: No refund and no credit transfer.
No-show: If you do not show up on departure day without prior written notice, no refund or credit will be issued.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and evacuation — especially for high-altitude expeditions.
3. Rider Requirements & Safety
Licence: A valid motorcycle licence from your home country is mandatory. An International Driving Permit (IDP) is strongly recommended for all non-Indian riders.
Experience: Riders must have a minimum of 2 years of active riding experience and be comfortable handling motorcycles on unpaved, mountainous, and varied terrain.
Age: Minimum rider age is 21 years. Pillion passengers must be at least 12 years old.
Gear: Helmets are mandatory and will be provided. Riders are strongly encouraged to bring their own jacket, gloves, and riding boots.
Fitness: All participants must be in good physical health. High-altitude tours (Ladakh, Tibet, Himalayas) require a reasonable level of cardiovascular fitness.
Alcohol & Drugs: Riding under the influence of alcohol or any substance is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal from the tour without refund.
4. Liability & Assumption of Risk
Motorcycle touring through remote and high-altitude terrain carries inherent risks, including but not limited to: unpredictable road and weather conditions, altitude-related illness, risk of accidents or injury, mechanical failure, and limited access to medical facilities in remote areas.
By participating in any Adventure Motorcycles India tour, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to:
Sign a liability waiver before the tour commences
Take full responsibility for your own actions and decisions while riding
Follow all instructions from tour guides and support staff at all times
Indemnify Adventure Motorcycles India against any claims arising from your participation
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel and medical insurance that specifically covers motorcycle riding, emergency evacuation, and high-altitude activities.
5. Use of Provided Motorcycle
Every tour package includes the use of an Adventure Motorcycles India motorcycle at no separate rental fee — the bike is part of your tour cost.
Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit may be collected at the start of the tour to cover potential damage. The exact amount will be communicated in writing before the tour begins.
Damage: Riders are responsible for any damage to the motorcycle beyond normal wear and tear. Repair costs may be deducted from the security deposit.
Fuel: Fuel costs are included in the tour price unless explicitly stated otherwise in the tour itinerary.
Breakdown: Any mechanical issues arising from normal use will be handled by our support team at no additional cost to the rider.
6. Itinerary Changes & Force Majeure
Adventure Motorcycles India reserves the right to modify routes, timings, or itineraries at any point due to weather, road conditions, permit restrictions, or safety concerns. We will always act in the best interest of the group.
In the event of a force majeure situation — including but not limited to natural disasters, political unrest, border closures, or pandemics — we will offer affected riders either alternative departure dates or a full credit toward a future tour. Refunds under force majeure will be handled on a case-by-case basis, depending on costs already committed on the ground.
