Prepare for an expedition that redefines adventure riding. The Middleland and Cliffhanger Expedition is a 14-day masterclass in Himalayan endurance. We’ll lead a tight-knit squad of no more than 15 riders across 1,800 kilometres of the most unforgiving terrain on earth, linking the barren, high-altitude deserts of Spiti (the "Middle Land") with the terrifying, sheer drops of the Kinnaur and Pangi Valley "cliffhanger" roads.

Starting from Chandigarh, we ride north into the lush Kullu Valley before beginning an epic, high-altitude loop that will test every ounce of your riding skill. You will navigate the rock-carved half-tunnels of Kinnaur, cross the towering Kunzum Pass (4,590m), and camp beneath the stars at the freezing, crystal-clear Chandratal Lake.

But the true test lies in the Pangi Valley. Riding to the remote outpost of Sural Bhatori, you will face narrow, unpaved ledges carved directly into vertical rock faces. The climax is crossing the notoriously difficult Sach Pass (4450m) —a jagged, waterfall-drenched ascent of ice and rock that connects Pangi to Chamba.

This is strictly an expert-level ride, but you are never alone. Our experienced multi-lingual Lead and Sweep riders ensure the pack stays safe, while our dedicated, heavy-duty 4WD support vehicle and expert mountain mechanic follow the group with spares, luggage, and emergency supplies. We balance the brutal days in the saddle with premium mountain resorts, luxury alpine camps, and heritage stays, rewarding your triumph over the Himalayas.
